Although for me nothing could ever take the place of the original game that first introduced me to Pokemon, it was rather nice to get a fresh take on the story and to see my Home Sweet Hoenn in beautiful 3D graphics for the first time.
An instant classic updated with better graphics and importet to a handheld console... great gift for people who want to experience one of the best Zelda games of all tme.
If you are reading this and still haven't played this, please, stop reading, get the game, finish it, and comeback. Done? Okay, now you understand why this game is great and why this is the template 3D Zeldas still use.
Kid Icarus. I like this game because of how it was timed. I liked it because I had played Smash Bros. Melee and saw pit as a trophy, I played Super Smash Bros. Brawl which Pit was an integral part of the story mode and I bothered to go back and give the NES version a go. After knowing what Kid Icarus was, it came as a complete joy for the game to basically say "Hello World" as soon as you started playing it. If I was to say anything bad about the game, it would be that it was a tad bit short. Oh and if you've read any reviews saying "the controls are difficult" then you've just got to "git gud" because the controls work very well. All you've got to do is get used to using them and maybe consider having those 15 minutes breaks Nintendo urges you to have if it's really that bad for you. Kid Icarus Uprising is genuinely a great gem of a game and no review complaining about how feeble said persons hands are should put you off.
