Pretty cool game but has that "early DS game" feel to it. Its cool that it has more characters to play with~ But the touch screen controls and mechanics aren't very good to work with. Even the D-Pad controls is a little derpy since its a 3D game with no analog control here. The biggest problem with the game is the control honestly but past that, its Mario 64 with a whole lot of extra awesome added to it.
This was, without a doubt, one of the hardest games I ever attempted to beat as a kid! Now that I'm a teenager, I'm attempting to decide whether or not I should return!
Honestly the N64 release is worth the experience if you can at least borrow it, but the DS variant has 1.more stars than the 64 2.fun spins on old stars 3. more than just mario as playable characters mixing up the fun 4.minigames and 5. more portable so DS is in ways better, but the original is a fun experience none the less.
Yet another game I originally had on my R4 card that I liked a lot. But never got around to buying it. Now that the newest one is out on 3DS, this one has dropped in price significantly. The local gamestore near me had 4 of em for 8 bucks in complete condition even haha. Used to be 15-20 bucks so this is a nice win to me~ The mini games in this are all very well done and cute. The songs for the mini games are quite nice to listen to and understand the rhythm for. My fave is definitely the Karate guy, Ping Pong, the DJ Duo, and Built to Scale. Just love the songs used for them. There's a LOT of mini games here but not all of them are easy to do either. Overall an awesomely done collection of minigames and songs to jam out to while playing. I wish it could be a little harder as most were quite easy and some of them I didn't like either but if they were harder, at least there's challenge to it. Its darn cheap now that the 3DS one is out and because of that I definitely recommend picking it up anyway as a result if you feel like it. Haha.
