This is a much longer game than Sonic Rush was previously. The story is pretty humorous at times but thsi game introduces a new character in Marine the Raccoon. One of the most annoying video game characters I can think of orz. The game starts with Sonic and Tails on their plane, get hit by a terrible storm and washes up on Southern Island, where Marine lives. Together they just try to find items to rebuild the plane so they can go home but eventually they meet Blaze again! Both are very confused but they find out that somehow they are in Blaze's dimension, and she's hunting some pirates who stole an important artifact. Gameplay is very much like Sonic Rush and both Sonic and Blaze can do roughly the same things. What's mainly different here is that there are now levels and missions/quests you can do in the levels after you beat them. You need to do these in order to gather more parts to build new vehicles to sail the ocean with. Traveling to and from islands lets you play a mini-game with said vehicle and most of them are pretty fun to play actually. The Waterbike, Sailboat, Hovercraft and Submarine all have certain distances and purposes. There are a lot of levels and mini levels as traverse the seas and you can switch between whenever you want. Its Sonic Rush with much more content to play with. The story is enough to keep you interested as long as you can stomach Marine...ughh
Sonic Colors on DS is VASTLY different than the game on Wii. This has different some different wisps and the game is mostly built on the previous Sonic Rush series engine. Overall the Wii game is the better experience and game. Many more Sonic friends show up in this as well, Cream, Blaze, even SILVER shows up in this! Wii game didn't have any friends at all other than Sonic and Tails. In this regard I like the DS one more because the story has more to work with even if its small details and small talk. This game isn't the same as the Wii game and I'm pretty chill with that. This is really Sonic rush with Colors assets~
not really a sly guy but loved this one definitely a step up from sly 3 and i don't know why people hated this game that much just because someone else make the game than original developers? i don't think so sanzaru games did a fantastic job with the game istede try to putting unnecessary or new gameplay styles it did what works
