The conclusion to one of the most exciting and successful comic book video game franchises has been released today. The last installment of the Batman Arkham series, Arkham Knight launches today with much anticipation as the series comes to a close.
One of the biggest features on the latest installment is Rocksteady’s take on the Batmobile. The iconic vehicle will get its first proper outing in the game, the icing on the cake of a series that has delivered so many highs. The game was developed exclusively for the next gen consoles and PC and will feature stunning visions of the Gotham skyline and more of the award winning game play that fans of the series have grown so fondly of.
The games sees Batman once again fending off his numerous foes with Scarecrow as the head honcho in the game. There is also a new character created exclusively for the game. Designed by DC’s Geoff Johns and Jim Lee, The Arkham Knight will join the likes of Two-Face, Poison Ivy, Penguin and The Riddler bringing chaos to the city. Check out the launch trailer here…
There have been a few issues surrounding the games release on PC, with the games publishers Rocksteady changing the minimum system requirements in order to play the game. The new requirements could see many users unable to play the game as it requires a Radeon HD 7950 or better with at least 3 GB of memory for those gamers who use a AMD GPU. In a statement released on Steam, Rocksteady said “There are some known issues with the performance of Batman: Arkham Knight for PC owners using AMD graphics cards. We are working closely with AMD to rectify these issues as quickly as possible.”
Despite the issues on PC, the game has received rave reviews and looks set to be a big hit and fantastic conclusion to the popular series!
