Hidden among the chaos of the Fallout 4 announcement, it was confirmed at E3 in Los Angeles that one of the most popular games of all time has officially got a reboot. DOOM, the legendary first-person shooter is back and better than ever!

Bethesda officially demoed the new look DOOM game and boy does it look carnage fueled. The game has always been at the centre of  controversy due to it’s violent content and the latest installment looks like its following that tradition.

Set on the red planet of Mars, the underworld setting will be the battleground for the bloodiest DOOM game ever. Along with a multitude of guns a new option for offing your enemies will be a chainsaw. The gameplay trailer shows the protagonist of the game running amok Mars shooting, kicking and exploding his way through his foes.

Announced as an official reboot of the franchise instead of a follow up to the opinion-splitting Doom 3, the game offers a new feature called Doom SnapMap. The feature will allow users of any ability to design and create their own game modes in which to battle within the game.Talking at the E3 event, Executive Producer Marty Stratton explained the simple thinking behind SnapMap “At it’s core, SnapMap is about players never running out of fun and imaginative gameplay.”  Once users have thought up their dream maps, they can test out and publish their creations with a simple click. DOOM will also feature double-jump for those who want to drop onto their opponents heads from an even greater distance.

Here is the entire gameplay video!

The game is set for release on PS4, Xbox One and PC in spring 2016. This gives you just enough time to endless arguments about if the game is too gory! Enjoy!
