Launches with bespoke collections from Gfinity and Ginx TV
London 26th March 2014 – GamesGRABR the social network for gaming has launched a new revenue generating feature on the site, partnering with games companies, developers and influential bloggers to display personally curated ‘Featured Collections’. Promoted from the homepage, under ‘cool collections to follow’ the new feature launches this week, already populated with collections from Gfinity who run online gaming tournaments and GinxTV the Video Gaming TV Channel, which includes a games collection from Lucy James, presenter of the Blurb.
The games companies themselves have compiled all the games and accessories within the collections and earn revenue each time a game or accessory is bought or downloaded. Publishers will promote the collection to their network; Gfinity for example, links to its collection from its homepage and will also be heavily featuring it when they film their next live eSports Tournament.
Featured Collections represents a new e-commerce platform and social community for publishers to promote special offers, new and back catalogue titles to the fast growing community. Users follow a collection and get automatic updates when a game or accessory is added. The feature also allows for advertising within each collection, a unique opportunity to reach out to a highly targeted and active gaming audience.
